Magewell Showcases Next-Generation AV-over-IP Solutions

Magewell continues to advance its next generation of AV-over-IP solutions, engineered to deliver greater flexibility, performance, and interoperability across today’s evolving media workflows.

Leading this innovation is the new Pro Convert IP to HDMI multi-format decoder, the successor to Magewell’s widely adopted Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI. The device enables users to decode up to four IP streams simultaneously and output them to a single HDMI display with an integrated multiviewer - making it ideal for monitoring, control room, and live production applications. For the output layout, both Pro Convert IP to HDMI and Pro Convert IP to AIO 4K support a signal, dual (picture-in-picture) and quad layouts. 

Magewell is also highlighting its broader IP workflow ecosystem, including the Pro Convert IP to AIO 4K. This versatile solution supports conversion between IP streams and SDI/HDMI signals in resolutions up to 4K, providing maximum flexibility for both hybrid and fully IP-based production environments. A new decoder from Magewell is expected to launch in May, introducing bi-directional conversion capabilities.

Across the Pro Convert family, Magewell continues to bridge traditional AV systems with IP-based infrastructures, supporting a comprehensive range of formats such as NDI® High Bandwidth, NDI® HX2, NDI® HX3, and H.264/H.265 streams delivered via protocols including SRT, RTMP, RTSP, RIST and HLS. Expanded integration with Zixi further enhances connectivity, enabling seamless incorporation of Zixi streams into existing workflows.

The Pro Convert IP to HDMI exemplifies this continued evolution, offering enhanced decoding performance, increased input capacity, and a redesigned web-based interface for simplified configuration and monitoring. Its compact, standalone form factor, combined with PoE support and intuitive controls, makes it a flexible solution for a wide range of use cases, from broadcast and live events to security and command-and-control environments.

In addition to its powerful decoding and multiview capabilities, the Pro Convert IP to HDMI can also output an on-screen display, which is paired with physical navigation buttons on the unit itself. This combination allows users to quickly access settings, switch between streams, and manage configurations directly from the device without relying solely on the web interface. The tactile controls and clear on-screen feedback make operation fast and intuitive, particularly in live or time-sensitive environments where immediate, hands-on control is essential.
