Whilst the EVA-1’s viewfinder is great for menu settings and indoor use, some find that it struggles in strong daylight. Many users have been opting for 3rd party EVFs or on-camera monitors, such as the SmallHD Focus monitor, that offer brighter, clearer images and are perfect for framing and focusing.
The issue here is that you now have to carry two different sets of batteries and chargers, adding extra weight and reducing space in your kit bag. This is where Core SWX step in…
The Nano-VBR98 battery from Core SWX replaces the camera’s main battery. Its 12v D-Tap output on the back means that you can power the camera and the monitor (or any other accessory) from the same battery. And as it has a 98wh capacity (more than double the capacity of Panasonic’s), you won’t suffer any reduction in run-time. They even charge off of the same charger you get with the camera.
At £160/€180 +VAT, they’re a great addition to anyone’s camera kit.
