Holdan launch the 3-camera 4K Studio for £20K at BVE

Holdan will demonstrate a complete 3-camera 4K studio for less than twenty thousand pounds. This solution includes an integrated UHD portable production unit (PPU) which centralizes camera control, signal switching and routing, monitoring, recording and crew communications. The studio suite is connected with fibre which allows for hugely extended cable runs and full two-way video.

The solution is based around the Blackmagic Design’s 4K Studio Camera and ATEM 1ME Production Studio 4K. This combination delivers excellent image quality, remote control, dynamic visual effects and output simultaneously in 4K and down-converted HD. 4K SmartView and SmartScope Duo displays provide full resolution monitoring and accurate signal analysis to ensure camera matching and broadcast compliance.

At any price, this studio solution is compelling, being capable of producing anything from mainstream television and live music events to local TV and religious programming. However, at under £20,000 for a full and portable 4K studio, it’s an extraordinary achievement

Said Allan Leonhardsen, director of Holdan.

Supplied along with the Blackmagic equipment are FieldCast’s new optical fibre technology and Panasonic Lumix zoom lenses which offer high image quality in a deceptively small package. The studio will be demonstrated on the Holdan stand (K30) to give visitors hands-on experience with the 4K kit.

Allan Leonhardsen concluded:

One of the things we want to demonstrate is how quickly we can set up and pack away the entire studio. Exhibitions have a very short build and breakdown time, yet the portability and plug and play nature of the Blackmagic kit means that this will not be an issue. Customers will be able to set up their own complete UltraHD studio – in any location – in a matter of minutes.
