In early January 2023, Panasonic announced the new LUMIX S5 MK2 representing a giant leap forward in mirrorless camera technology. The camera is jampacked with new features that will undoubtedly assist any photographer, videographer, or hybrid shooter.

Working behind the scenes with Panasonic, Kondor Blue also teased their new delicious-looking cage for the LUMIX S5II & S5IIX.

We wanted to create a cage ecosystem, that would match the camera’s prowess.

Features

Packed with some of the best features yet the S5II/S5IIX cage features an evolution of the Kondor Blue Mid-Rail that was introduced on the Panasonic GH6 camera cage. This greatly enhances the overall strength and rigidity of the rig, with two additional points of contact in the eyelets making it one of Kondor Blue’s strongest cages ever!

The rig is fully equipped with Kondor Blue’s usual perks – built-in tools, standard mounting holes/patterns, bubble level and a cable clamp for your outgoing HDMI and USBC cables. An ARRI Rosette is perfectly positioned to be used with a side handle or EVF– giving great flexibility when rigging up for different projects.
