S1H Netflix Approved

S1H Netflix Approved

The Panasonic Lumix S1H has just been added to the long list of Holdan supplied cameras which have been approved for shooting projects for the online streaming giant. This is a remarkable feat for a camera of this size at this price level.

The reason it’s been approved is down to its superb, high quality codec. At up to 30 fps it can record in 422/10bit/ALL-I at 400 Mbps from its dual ISO, full frame sensor with the full Panasonic V-Log colour science. This means shots perfectly match the Panasonic Varicams, used on numerous high-end dramas. It’s not just the colour science that matches, it’s the 14+ stops of dynamic range which enables the capture of sparkling HDR content.

Check out the excellent review of the S1H from Paul Ream of Extrashot.
