Teradek has released firmware version 7 for Cube, Brik, Bond 2, Bond Pro, Edge and Slice.

Teradek has released firmware version 7 for Cube, Brik, Bond 2, Bond Pro, Edge and Slice. It's an important update, available for download now. 

As well as a number of fixes and minor improvements, version 7 adds:

• Support for new platforms – Bond II, Bond Pro, Slice & Edge

• Support for bonding protocol version 2

• Improved bonded streaming robustness

• Improved adaptive bitrate algorithm, adapts more quickly to bandwidth fluctuations

• Intelligent packet retransmissions

• Optional data redundancy

• Selectable UDP/TCP transmission

• Supports remote control from Sputnik 2.0

• Sputnik Direct streaming and ‘Sputnik Direct Fallback’ option

• IFB support for MPEG Transport Stream

• Auto Record to Ustream options

• Support for backup RTMP publishing point

• Support for PC resolutions over HDMI – (1024x768, 800x600, 640x480)

• Audio channel selection for embedded SDI audio input

• Audio sample rate option to encoder settings

• Quick action menu to the front panel, press the ‘stream’ button to access

• Dual stream API option for Bond/Sputnik streaming
