Currently, various cine accessories are sold in the market, however, Samyang has planned and released a NEW Samyang Cine Kit optimized for Samyang lens separately for videographers who use our VDSLR MK2 Sony E mount lenses and any Samyang lens with a mount diameter of 62mm such as the AF 24-70mm F2.8 FE. The Cine Kit is designed for easy and quick focus control in video.
When using the Samyang Cine Kit, a heavier and larger cage is not necessary, since the Cine Kit is designed for easy and quick focus control in video. In order to install the existing 'Follow Focus', a 'Rig' must be configured, and also the 'Camera Cage' is required for DSLR, mirrorless cameras. With such a configuration, the size and weight will naturally increase. However, since a cage is not required when using Samyang Cine Kit, it is convenient to exchange lenses and cameras, and it is light in weight.
The Cine Kit is made for Samyang Lens with a mount neck diameter of Φ62mm. It's recommendable to use with the Samyang VDSLR Sony mount lens and the Samyang AF 24-70mm F2.8 FE lens. The dial is compatible with interchangeable M0.8-43T/43T/38T gears and can be mounted on the left or right sides of the follow focus for finer control.
This allows precise follow focus control and comfortable dampening feel. Adjustable A/B marks for easy switch between A/B focal length and full focal length let you preset two distances for fast and reliable focus pulling.
