Its NDI (Network Device Interface) integration, IP-based controls, and versatile connectivity make it particularly suited for modern, networked workflows.
The NDI PTZ Teleprompter features Full NDI (Network Device Interface) encoding/decoding, as well as traditional 3G-SDI, HDMI, Composite and VGA, inputs. NDI is a video-over-IP protocol that allows for high-quality, low-latency video transmission over standard Ethernet networks. Our NDI teleprompter can be connected to a network using standard Ethernet cables, eliminating the need for dedicated video cables or specialized hardware. In addition, the teleprompter utilizes PoE++ technology that allows both power and NDI data to be transmitted through a single Ethernet cable. By using a single cable for power, tally lights, and data transmission, you can reduce the overall cost of materials, as well as the cost of installation and maintenance.
The included teleprompter hood fully encloses the PTZ camera allowing it to move freely inside the hood. The teleprompter features a 65/35 reflective glass that makes the reflection easier to see for the presenter. The lightweight aluminium teleprompter has multiple 1/4-20” and 3/8-16” threads for mounting to a tripod or pedestal.
The Ikan PTZ Teleprompter system is a unique PTZ teleprompting system that enables the PTZ camera’s pan, tilt and zoom capabilities while still behind the reflective teleprompter glass. You can easily pan the camera between multiple people reading from the same script.
The PTZ teleprompter features a lightweight hood that fully encloses the PTZ camera, which allows it’s movement to remain unconstrained. The hood includes an opening in the back that gives you quick access to the PTZ cameras inputs and outputs. The opening can be closed with a drawstring which removes the possibility of any light leaks.
Our PTZ Teleprompter includes a large canvas hood, making it compatible with the vast majority of PTZ cameras.
Ikan’s teleprompter beam splitter glass allows talent to read from a teleprompter screen while maintaining direct eye contact with the camera or audience. The 3mm thick optical-grade glass features a front surface mirror coating with 65% transmission and 35% reflection, along with an anti-reflection (AR) coating on the rear to prevent ghosting. This design ensures clear, colour-neutral images for the camera and easy-to-read text for the talent.
The glass is coated so that it reflects 65% of the light projected onto it while allowing the remaining 35% to pass through. This unique characteristic enables the presenter to read the reflected script text clearly, projected from a monitor below or behind the glass, while simultaneously allowing the camera positioned directly behind the glass to record through it without capturing the reflected text.
The 19-inch prompter monitor features SDI, HDMI, Composite, and VGA inputs and the native resolution is 1920 x 1080. The OSD adjustment menu allows adjustment for contrast, brightness, You can also adjust the intensity of each RGB colour channel. Aspect ratio can be set as 16:9, 4:3, full, or it can be set to automatically detect the aspect ratio and set it accordingly.
The monitor features an image flip button that allows for both horizontal and vertical flipping of the displayed image. This feature is ideal for presenters who are video conferencing since it enables the presenter to view themselves as if they were looking into a mirror, giving a greater sense of comfort during the video conference or live stream.
The acrylic screen protector on the NDI teleprompter’s 19-inch monitor shields the LCD from scratches, dust, and accidental impacts.
The custom aluminium housing is robust and will protect the monitor from the rigors of production. The monitor features bezel-mounted buttons making it easy to navigate menu functions or change your input source.
The 19-inch Teleprompter includes a rail that allows you to easily balance your entire teleprompter setup so that you don’t need a counter weight. The teleprompter can be offset along the sled.
The NDI teleprompter monitor includes a built-in web-based graphical user interface (GUI) for remote management of your NDI streams. This intuitive interface allows you to assign presets, enable or configure encoding and decoding options, select and display specific NDI streams, adjust IP settings, and perform firmware updates.
The M19W-NDI monitor features a tally light that illuminates red and green. This tally light can be controlled one of three ways; As an IP tally light that works directly with Vmix, Contact closure for switchers the a GPI output, or NDI. This means that a director can cut between cameras and the tally colour will let the on-camera talent know which camera is live. A green tally light is typically used to indicate that a camera is in preview mode. This means that the camera’s output is being sent to a monitor, but it is not currently on air. This allows the talent, director, and production crew to check the composition, focus, and other aspects of the shot before it goes live. A red tally light is used to indicate when a camera is live or on-air.
The M19W-NDI offers three different ways to control the tally light.
The NDI monitor includes 10 preset buttons for quick access to different NDI streams. If you have multiple NDI streams available on your network, you can assign each one to a specific preset number (from 1 to 10). Once assigned, simply press the corresponding button to instantly switch the monitor to display that stream.
The hood of the teleprompter is anchored to the frame with bolts and additionally secured with magnets for extra stability.
The professional teleprompter is shipped in reusable custom cut foam which will help keep the kit safe and organized when you set it up or break it down. The custom cut foam fits perfectly fit in the included rolling hard case
* Please note that the NDI monitor included only decodes and encodes 1080p High-bandwidth NDI (Full NDI) Streams YUV colour space of up to 4:2:0. It does not encode or decode NDI-HX Streams.
