Serv Pro or Bolt: WiFi for Low Latency Transmission? Serv Pro and Bolt compared

On-set wireless monitoring is now standard on set, and Teradek is the de facto manufacturer of choice. Within the Teradek line-up, there are two local monitoring options, the Bolt and the Serv Pro.

For anyone new to cable-free monitoring, here’s a quick buyer’s guide. If you want a short answer, this is it: Bolt is the monitoring choice for critical camera operating and lens control; Serv Pro is perfect for everyone else on or near set who doesn’t require specialist tools, colour accuracy or ultra-low latency.
