Industry-standard 4x5 tray sizing and compatibility with ARRI LMB
The KONDOR Blue 4x5 Filter Tray is so much more than a piece of metal that holds a piece of glass. After years of witnessing and experiencing on-set filter mishaps, we discovered that the filter trays were often at the center of the problems. We began by solving the first major problem—filter trays slipping through the Matte Box entirely—by incorporating auto load-and-lock safety stops. These are spring-loaded tabs that slide along precision-machined internal dovetails. When used in conjunction with the KONDOR Blue Matte Box System, the safety stops engage on both the top and bottom.
We added a rubber bumper to the filter release tab to prevent filter damage when filter loading. A generous finger slot was incorporated at the bottom of the tray for fingerprint-free filter removal.
