The GFX100 II is a landmark camera bringing 102MP BSI CMOS 44x33mm medium format sensor to the masses. When designing the cage, we knew we needed to create something truly special. Our design philosophy was anchored on speed between setups, strength suited for the biggest sets, and an overall sleekness that the camera’s design demands. Those pillars led to the development of KONDOR BLUE’s brand new Hatch System—a completely unique way to mount your camera cage with as few bolts as possible all while remaining rock solid. The Mid-Rail and eyelet inserts are core to the system’s strength and rigidity. The Bottom Plate becomes a “hatch” which pivots and clasps around the base of the camera. Now only 4 bolts are necessary to assemble the cage offering the best strength-to-weight ratio of any cage on the market.

The GFX 100II cage comes fully prepped to install out of the box. Users mount the cage by swinging the pivoting Bottom Plate 180°, then setting the cage on top of the camera while sliding in the eyelet connectors, and swinging the Bottom Plate back into place. The Hatch system has also allowed us to design the cage to be even more form-fitting and dramatically speeds up installation and cage removal times. Best of all, all bolts necessary to remove the cage are clearly marked with arrow engravings.

Beyond the new assembly style, the Fujifilm GFX100 II cage includes all of the pro features you’ve come to expect from KONDOR BLUE: NATO rail on Side and Top Plates, stainless steel ARRI style rosette, ARRI style anti-twist mounts (¼ 20 and â…œ 16), removable HDMI/USB-C yoke, built-in tools for assembly, angled cold shoe with safety stop, and our signature bubble level.
