Nottingham Trent University named “University of the Year 2019” chose the Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast 4K studio camera system to update its studio facilities at its Centre for Broadcast Journalism.
NTU’s current studio facility was already equipped to a high standard with functional, professional HD cameras, with control room interfacing. The university was looking for a boost in image quality, 4K future-proofing and full remote camera control.
NTU concluded that the URSA Broadcast would give them the significant quality jump they were looking for in HD, the option of 4K down the road, plus power, video, audio, talkback and tally to all run though a single cable thanks to Camera and Studio Fiber Converters,
They also purchased a Blackmagic Television Studio mixer and ATEM Camera Control Panel to allow them to remotely control and colour match cameras from the control room. NTU placed the order with ProActive who also supplied new lenses and Pan/Tilt heads for their ageing studio pedestals.
