The RLS-1 Rail Lift System expands MRMC’s PTZ enablement solutions by combining vertical lift with a side-to-side motion. Along with the pan/tilt of a PTZ, this solution provides a versatile and cost-effective method to deliver 5-axis of motion. With a range of height configurations, the RLS-1 can comfortably capture sitting and standing shots without reconfiguration.

Achieve On-Air Quality Motion

Designed to be quiet in operation, the RLS-1 offers a configurable vertical lift speed of 0.5 – 60mm/s, alongside horizontal motion of 40 cm/s / 16 in/s making it ideal for on-air movement of PTZs.

The system is easily controlled using our Multi-Head Controller software, or Polymotion Chat for automated movement.

The RLS-1 can also integrate with third-party systems via our MRP (Mark Roberts Protocol).

Integrated PTZ Solution

The RLS-1 system expands our PTZ enablement range and its modular design means the system can be used in a multitude of ways to provide a versatile range of motion. The RLS-1 can be quickly reconfigured from floor to ceiling and also has genlock sync input to allow synchronised FreeD positional data to be output, enabling its use with virtual graphics systems.

Push the bounds of creativity with MRMC Robotic Camera Systems

Elevating the production value is one way to help drive viewer engagement of video content, and a tried and tested way to do so is by adding dynamic and smooth motion to a shot. Motion can not only help with the storytelling, but also help sell the illusion of 3D depth through the 2D medium of video - doing so through the parallax effect of a foreground moving faster than the background. Mark Roberts Motion Control camera systems are the ideal choice for facilitating repeated camera motion due to their high precision, incredible smoothness, and autonomous capabilities.
