Q: Is there a rack mount available?
A: Yes, there are two. One that holds two DAC-10's and one that holds one DAC-10.
Q: Can I have all of the inputs connected at one time and select which one I want?
A: Yes, All of the inputs may be connected at the same time. The matrix switch on the front of the converter controls which input is active.
Q: Can I connect the composite out to a broadcast monitor while sending S-Video or Component to my Beta Deck?
A: Yes. All of the outputs are active at the same time, so the Composite line can be used as a preview from your timeline.
Q: Will the DAC-10 convert from Composite video to S video?
A: No. DV must be one side of the conversion
Q: Does the DAC-10 work with Vegas Video?
A: Yes, the DAC-10 will work with Vegas Video.
Q: Can I connect a DV deck or DV camera into the extra port on the DAC-10?
A: We do not recommend connecting DV cameras or DV Decks into the extra port on the DAC-10. The DAC-10 uses the same device drivers as DV cameras and DV decks so a device conflict will occur in your operating system or in your NLE software.
