tvONE Showcases new Auto-Switching feature for C2-2855 Universal Scaler

tvone has showcased the C2-2855 Universal Scaler and its latest auto-switching capabilities at InfoComm 2015.

The C2-2855 is a high performance scaler that provides best-in-class video scaling and format conversion. Its latest feature enhancement, Auto-Switching, turns the C2-2855 into a powerful standalone device. It allows the user to connect their source and have it automatically displayed on screen without having to press any buttons. This automatic feature can simplify BYOD connectivity. Just plug in, and let the C2-2855 do the work of displaying the source on the screen. With the C2-2855, the incoming video resolution is quickly detected, analyzed, and the user is ready to present. This new feature is particularly useful in situations where there is little or no technical supervision such as in meeting rooms, medical environments, teaching spaces or live staging events.

C2-2655The C2-2855 has two other derivatives within its product family, the C2-2755 Video Scaler and the C2-2655 Scan Converter. Helping provide the ultimate flexibility to the user, the C2-2855 features the ability to up/down/cross convert, the C2-2755 to up/cross convert, and the C2-2655 to down convert. The user may now purchase what they want, depending on their needs. Each unit can be set-up and managed using a new, innovative front panel or via computer-based control panel that allows setup in less than 1/3 the time of the previous generation.

When asked about tvONE's new tactile user interface and software designs, Andy Fliss, tvONE's Director of Sales & Marketing - the Americas said:

"Our R&D team flawlessly succeeded in delivering on our customers' needs. The C2-2x55 product line diminishes installation time and shortens learning curves, and that's where integrators and rental and staging experts find success today."

The C2-2x55 series provides high quality bi-directional conversion between a variety of analog and digital video formats. Inputs and outputs can be SD/HD/3G-SDI, HDMI, DVI, Composite Video, YC, YUV, YPbPr or RGB. An included key feature allows an image to be keyed over another and faded in and out due to the 4:4:4 sampling format for RGB sources, precise keying at the pixel level can be achieved. Five full-frame still images can be stored and switched along with five logos. Stereo Audio switching is provided by an integral 4x1 audio routing switcher. Four unbalanced stereo inputs can be assigned to each of the video inputs and switched to a rear mounted analog connector or embedded on the HDMI/DVI-U/SDI outputs. Digital audio can be de-embedded and output via the analog connector providing convenient Digital-to-Analog conversion. It can also be assigned as an Audio-Follow-Video (AFV) source for any of the video connectors or re-embedded onto another digital capable output.

Transitions permit Seamless Cut, Fade or Wipe transitions between input sources. The Picture-In-Picture (PIP) functionality allows an input to be inset in a window over a second input or vice versa, with the PIP window having the ability to be placed anywhere on the screen. Frame lock allows for different resolutions to be used independent of frame rate.
