An exciting new feature is the ability to use the new FireCoder Blu accelerator board for lightning quick conversions.
If you need the ultimate performance in converting AVCHD you can even put multiple FireCoder Blu boards in one computer.

HDTHUNDER is designed to support video professionals who want to have one solution to support HD/SD-SDI-based editing and tapeless workflows with the capability to preview their projects in real-time, using affordable HDMI monitors. Based on the PCI Express form factor, the HDTHUNDER solution includes EDIUS® nonlinear editing software, HD-SDI inputs and outputs and an HDMI output for full-resolution realtime preview monitoring. Embedded HDMI audio provide high quality audio monitoring. It’s a premium, high-powered solution for multi-format editing.
Timecode input and output is supported for accurate editing from field logs. The reference input supports both analog blackburst and tri-level sync. The included machine control may be used to control an external VTR ingest and with the optional VTR emulation software may be used to control EDIUS like a VTR for direct playout from the workstation.
HDTHUNDER also empowers you with constantly synched, full-resolution preview of effects and content directly from the EDIUS timeline.
The HDTHUNDER board can handle any mix of high- and standard-definition (HD and SD) video content; unlimited video, audio, title, and graphics layers; and any combination of real-time effects. It also offers real-time, full-resolution, full-quality component HD and SD video output.
